C2IMPRESS Project mentioned in external platforms (Part II)

The C2IMPRESS Project has lately been mentioned and featured in various external platforms. The platforms are linked to one of the C2IMPRESS consortium members, Porto de Aveiro.

In the C2IMPRESS Project, the Ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz is part of the C2IMPRESS project consortium, which aims to assess the effects of climate change and exposure to the risk of catastrophes. In the specific case of ports, the aim is to study the impact of climate change on the agitation regime, average sea level and storms and the respective implications. In the case of the Port of Figueira da Foz, the aim is also to analyze the implications for safety in navigation in the port. As part of the project, an alert system will be implemented for the ports of Aveiro and Figueira da Foz, The project saw its application approved under the European Commission's Horizon Europe program, being, in Portugal, coordinated by LNEC - National Civil Engineering Laboratory, IP.

'C2IMPRESS Project. Initial Developments in the Theme of Port Areas' , authored by Ana Catarina Zózimo, and seven other co-authors from LNEC, was presented at the 11th Coastal and Port Engineering Conferences, which took place in Leixões, Portugal on the 3rd and 4th of October.
